Sometimes i hate computers. I've been working on a portfolio for school (total waste of time, even my adviser admits that.....but it still has to be done). Yesterday i got a decent amount of work done, but i had opened the file from my e-mail address so when i saved it, it went to a temp file that doesn't actually exist. Note to the computer: if you are not really saving then please to not pretend to do so. Thankz.
In honor of Earth Day, show us something (literally or figuratively) green.
This questions remands me of a ESL class (alright there were 2 kids, but it twas a class never-the-less) i was subbing in yesterday. The kids read an article about earth day and one of the follow up questions asked about examples of the town "going green". The poor kids had no clue, the boy said that they painted all the houses green. Poor kids have to learn a new language, then we through out weird expressions just because.
Show us a spice in your kitchen.

Even though i use a wide variety of spices, a large majority of dishes can be made w/just these to (though i use kosher salt most of the time when i am cooking....has a better flavor, or maby it is just more fun to play w/ since itz larger.)
The teacher to student transition is most definitely not fun. I have spent the past semester working in a kindergarten...so the extent of my writing have been things such as "I like my mom and dad". Or even more basic, "the letter v says vu." Now i have a bunch (ok only 3) projects and presentations to put together/practice. Take tomorrow for example.....i have a lovely presentation that i could/should be working on, but the motivation level is at -10 at the moment. I shall be very happy when next week is over and i can return to teacher except this time i shall be earning money for doing so.
If you're getting one, how are you planning on spending your tax refund?
From the federal government i'm planning to use it to pay for student loans, gather supplies for peace corps, & put into savings....now if only it was large enough to actually do all three of those things.
From the state gov i donated a whopping $0.25 to VA education.
I've read that financially it is best to break even....but it is definitely more fun to get a large refund.
What do you love about where you live?

It is pretty close to most everything someone could want to do. There is a good selection of stores within 10-30 minutes (when traffic is good). There are a bunch of nice parks and places to go hiking. The schools are relativity good (compared to other areas) and pay decently compared to some other areas. The weather for the most part is good. I'll keep this post positive and stick to just the positives.
Share a story of a time you acted foolishly.
When i was at camp this summer (that should give it away right there...camp & foolishness go together), all of the counselors were gathered together on the dinning room porch after the campers had just left. We were waiting for the camp director to come and give us our paychecks so we could disperse for the weekend. I don't even remember why there were Frisbees laying around...but a impromptu Frisbee fight broke out and the next few minutes were spent with Frisbees flying.
What's your favorite thing about being sick?
Booo, not a cool question (when i am starting to feel sick again after i thought i was getting better). I suppose if it gets me out of doing something i didn't want to do. If on the other hand there are things i want/need to do then it is not so cool. Take tomorrow for example....i'm supposed to sub for my teacher who is out of the country. I'm not entirely sure how i would go about calling in sick even if i needed to. I even went out and bought some cold medicine, which i never do....it better do a good job of masking my symptoms for the day.
What have you tried in life that you just weren't very good at?
Basketball. I played for a few years during middle and high school on a community team, but i think i scored a total for 2 or 3 baskets in games. I have a bunch of trophies b/c somehow i always ended up on teams of pretty good players. It was fun most of the time though, i'd love to start playing again if i found a team of non-competitive, not to good players.
